The fusion of the zipped collar and the hood with elastic trim offers wind and element protection, creating a comfortable opening for your face.

This hoodie is well thought out. I wore it yesterday for the first time for a 5 mile hike. It was a chilly day and I was able to appreciate the collar that my other hoodie doesn’t have. I think it’s a great addition. I love the long zipper so I was able to ventilate going up the steep elevation gain. I love the colors! I also never write reviews but this really deserved one.
Love the feel of the material
Exactly what I was looking for. Keeps me cool during hikes and provides more than enough warmth when paired with a down jacket for temps between 30-45F. The material is solid. The hood and neck region zip up nicely to block out air. I ordered a females XL since most were out of stock, but it fit perfectly for me at 173lb and 5'10.
I love this pullover - it is so perfect. The material is lightweight and terrific for layering--this is my second one and they last forever (actually lost my first one). The color is a cute bright blue and steely gray. Got one for my husband as well and he loves it!
Absolutely love my new Skygoat hoodie! It’s exactly what I had been searching for in a lightweight fleece with the 1/2 zip and snugly pocket for my hands!
I was between sizes S and M, I went with the Medium and glad I did, it has enough room to layer and fits my shoulders well without feeling to big. For context I’m 5’6 135lbs athletic curvy build.
I was very impressed by how warm this pullover was and I liked the details like the kangaroo pocket and the half-zip which allows for donning/doffing without taking your sunglasses off.
However, the little hanging loop at the back of the collar broke after just 1-2 days of use and I thought the cut was unflattering on my body type--I'm pear-shaped and the elastic waist hit me in an unflattering way.
I love this fleece pullover. I've been using a Patagonia R1 fleece but it has been missing some key features. The skygoat hoodie has everything I've been missing. My favorite feature is the way the hood is connected so that you can zip the collar up without the hood. I prefer the zip neck so I can take the fleece on/off without having to remove my hat or mess up my ponytail. The other two things my R1 fleece was missing are thumbholes and a pouch pocket. The sleeves are the right length for the thumbholes and the pouch pocket is perfect for warming your hands. In colder environments backpacking I can sleep in it and put my water filter or electronics in the pouch pocket and keep them warm overnight. The fleece is lightweight and perfect for layering. I love it!! Oh and customer service is excellent and they stand by their products.
Initially, I was torn about sizes as well as deciding between the half zip hoodie and the jacket. I already have a SkyGoat hoodie that I received as a present for Christmas from my spouse. The thoughtful design and quality of the half zip hoodie exceeded my expectations. With the stretchy band around the waist and the cuffs of the sleeves, the half zip hoodie isn't as long on my short stature. I'm pleased to report that this SkyGoat half zip hoodie is now my favorite! In regards to sizes, I believe that it may depend on whether you plan to layer a heavy base layer or a thin race shirt under the hoodie or a heavier base layer. I'm fairly short at 5'1" and weigh in 120's and the small fits great with enough room to layer a thinner running shirt. The hoodie that my spouse bought me at Christmas is a medium and I have room to wear a thicker base layer under it when backpacking however it is a bit longer on my body in length. I absolutely love the soft lightweight fabric and would definitely recommend the SkyGoat hoodie and half zip hoodie!
I've been using this fleece on all sorts of adventures from running to backpacking to overnight snowshoe trips. It's great because it is warm and the hood fits really well, but it is easy to vent on higher output activities thanks to the half-zip design. The thumb holes are useful for holding a trekking pole on brisk mornings, but the sleeves stay pushed up when it is warm thanks to the elastic. The fleece is super cozy for sleeping in and I find myself wearing it all the time.
My fabulous husband recently purchased this fabulous quarter zip hoodie for me and I’m “hooked” on this hoodie. Why? Well, the fabric is soft, thin (as in not bulky), but extremely warm. In addition, I love the Kangaroo pocket and the fact that the zipper is long’ish which makes for easy on and off of this garment when layering. The hood has a great design as well, because it “stays put” on my noggin’ when utilized. I can’t think of ANY way to improve this great garment!
This hoody feels great and looks great. The workmanship appears to be very high quality. I wanted the half zip for venting and I can tell it will work well. I am 5'3" 115 pounds and sized up to medium to have room for layering, but I think a small would have been fine as well. I haven't been able to use it yet because I live in Las Vegas, 120 degrees here yesterday, and 90's up in the mountains where we day hike. But backpacking trips are coming soon and I am excited to try it out!
This pullover is so comfy! It's like wearing a well-fitted security blanket. It's very warm for the weight and I love the colors. Will be order more from SkyGoat for sure!

Seriously. The waffle fleece is soft enough to go against bare skin but cut athletically enough to allow for a long or short sleeve base layer.
The fit is perfect (ladies medium) for a 6ft tall lanky girl -sleeves and torso long enough without being overly wide.
The collar/hood feature is awesome. 12 outta 10 recommend this!

Was able to test with a puff jacket and a base layer in 17F weather this week. Excellent performance the Wind Chill was 10F on a 5 mile walk.
