Fall is officially in full swing, and I freaking love this time of year!
Depending on where you live, fall can mean so many different things. Crisp mornings. Sunny afternoons. Cooler temps. Shorter days. Leaves changing into some pretty amazing colors. And if you're up high enough in the mountains, maybe even the first snow starting to show up on the peaks.
There's just something about fall that creates this mix of excitement and anticipation for me.
Summer can feel like go, go, go. Fall seems to slow things down just enough. The trails get a little quieter, the mornings get a little colder, and suddenly throwing an extra layer in the van or your pack feels like a pretty good idea.
It's also one of my favorite times of year to get out and explore.
I've been doing a bunch of trail running and mountain biking lately, along with some weekend vancations to visit friends and explore some other mountains. There's something pretty great about loading up the van, pointing it toward the mountains, and figuring out the rest along the way.
My wife and I are also planning a trip to Japan to visit some family and friends. We're hoping to do some sightseeing around Tokyo and then head into the Hakuba mountains for some hiking and trail running.
I can't wait!
Fall might be my favorite time to travel. Not too hot. Not too cold. Haha! What about you?

As usual, there's A LOT going on around here.
The Overalls Are Here!
We dropped the new Women's Overalls in September and the response has been BIG!
The ladies are loving them, which has been really fun to see.
Anytime we launch something that's a little different, there's always that moment of wondering how people are going to react. So seeing people getting their Overalls, wearing them on adventures, around town, after races, or just lounging around has been pretty awesome.
Thank you to everyone who jumped in early and gave them a try!
So...What About That Vest?
Some of you have been asking about the new Vest we've mentioned before.
Well...It's getting closer. But it's still in the works.
Something about the first design just wasn't sitting right with me, so naturally I decided to change it. Lol.
Of course, changing one thing usually turns into changing a few things, which means pattern changes, more samples, more testing, and another round of tweaking.
I'd rather take a little longer and make something I'm really excited about than rush something out just because we said it was coming.
With everything else we've got going on right now, realistically we're looking at the beginning of next year for the Vest.
I'll keep you posted!
What Else Are We Playing With?
This is where things get fun. I've got a bunch of different ideas being sampled or kicked around right now, including:
A 115gsm Jacket.
A sleeping bag liner.
Sleep socks.
A GOATgrid blanket.
A dog cape or sweater.
Dog booties.
Yep...SkyGOAT for dogs might be a thing. Haha!
Some of these ideas may turn into actual products. Some might not. That's part of the fun of experimenting.
But I'd really like to hear what YOU think.
Which of those would you actually want?
And is there something completely different you'd like to see us make?

Who's Ready for NEW COLORS?!
Our fall production has been in full swing and things are looking good!
We're currently on track to drop a bunch of new colors in the Hoodie, Jacket, Half Zip and more in about a month, somewhere around late October to early November.
And yes...I'm excited.
We're doing a photoshoot this weekend, so maybe we'll start sneaking out a few previews later in October. Maybe. 😉
We're also already planning ahead for our Spring color drop. Crazy, right?
We're working on fall while thinking about winter while choosing colors for spring. That's pretty much how this business works!
So here's another question for you:

Something bright and wild?

Well...there's always soooo much going on at SkyGOAT.
New products. New samples. New colors. Photoshoots. Production. Travel. Adventures. And probably a few ideas I haven't even thought of yet.
Hopefully this gives you a little insight into what we're working on behind the scenes here in Red Lodge.
More importantly, I hope you're finding some time to get outside and enjoy fall wherever you are.
Go for a hike.
Take the bike out.
Plan a weekend road trip.
Sit around a campfire.
Visit somewhere new.
