Which top is best for you?
Choosing the right model usually comes down to how much you sweat and how much you prioritize "couch comfort" versus "trail performance."
Since SkyGOAT uses two different weights of fleece (170 gsm for the standard and 115 gsm for the ultralight), a good way to choose is by looking at your typical activity level.
The CAMP Hoodie (Standard 170 gsm)
Best for: The "One and Done" buyer. This is our most popular item because it balances daily life with technical performance.
-
The Vibe: Thick, cozy, and soft. It feels like a "real" sweatshirt but performs like gear.
-
Best Use: Cold mornings at camp, winter layering, lounging at home, and casual day hikes in temps under 60°F. It’s also a fav for the Appalachian Trail!
-
Pros: The kangaroo pocket is great for warming hands; the crossover hood is simple and cozy, and includes a drawcord.
-
Keep in mind: If you are hiking uphill in 50°F+ weather, you will likely sweat in this because it doesn't have a zipper to dump heat.

The CAMP Jacket (Standard 170 gsm + Full Zip)
Best for: People who run hot or want maximum versatility.
-
The Vibe: A technical midlayer that’s easy to get on and off without removing your hat or glasses.
-
Best Use: High output hiking where you're constantly stopping and starting, or as a "truck jacket" you can throw over a t-shirt easily. Also great as a winter midlayer for ski touring, lift laps, or snowshoeing.
-
Pros: Instant temperature control. You can unzip it all the way when you're working hard. It also features hand pockets and deep interior "drop" pockets.
-
Keep in mind: Slightly heavier and bulkier than the Hoodie because of the full length zipper.

The CAMP Half-Zip Pullover Ultralight 115 gsm
Best for: Ultralight backpackers, trail runners, and summer alpine adventures.
-
The Vibe: Thin, extremely breathable, and incredibly light (about 7–8 oz).
-
Best Use: Peak summer in the mountains, high-intensity running, or as a "sun hoodie" alternative for people who want a bit more warmth than a thin polyester shirt or a non wind resistant alpha top.
-
Pros: Packs down to almost nothing. The Half-Zip allows for venting while keeping the weight low.
-
Keep in mind: Not "cozy" enough for a cold winter night by itself. It’s more of a performance tool than a lounge piece.
