These are perfect for high altitude summer weather, or spring/fall where winter gloves / mittens are too much, and heavy. Love the opening to let your fingers out to do detail work without taking off the whole mitten. I pair them with some Ultra-light waterproof mittens for layering.
I find the wrist size runs a little tight on me - the Large are just barely big enough for this 5'10" / 180 lb. guy.
