Men's CAMP Hooded Jacket

This jacket is absolutely phenomenal. Best grid fleece I have ever worn. The GOATgrid material is ridiculously comfortable and packs a lot of warmth into a thin and breathable fabric. I brought this on a 5-week mountaineering trip and I changed into it immediately after each tour once back at base camp. Super comfy and layers great as part of a cold weather system.

I took my new SkyGOAT hoodie fly fishing this weekend. I absolutely love the wheat color, it compliments fall colors well and all my fishing wading gear. Several people complimented the hoodie and color too and got asked where can they buy one.

I love this jacket! I own two. As an avid backpacker/hiker who I hikes over 2,000 miles a year, great outerwear is crucial. This jacket is always in my pack and also in my luggage when I'm traveling. The material keeps me warm but is lightweight. When I get too warm, I can easily tie it around my waist. This jacket is made of high-quality manufacturing standards. The jacket is very attractive and perfect for all situations. I love it!

This is my first purchase from SkyGOAT. After plenty of research, I went with it rather than the famous Colorado company for a mid layer fleece. The quality is tops. Colors and look are excellent too. But I am a bit bummed about the fit. I studied things carefully before ordering a large — the size I wear in almost everything from t-shirts to business casual shirts to jackets. (I am 5’10”, 180 lbs, and would be considered by most to be fit.) The contours are definitely athletically cut, but it’s hardly “spacious” as the advertising says. They would be more honest if they said “slim fit.” It’s pretty dang tight across the shoulders and mildly irritating in the pits. I am hoping it loosens up a bit. Not that I want it to stretch out and look trashy, but I could use a little room to breathe.

I gave it 4 stars. For the disappointing fit,
that’s generous—mostly because of the overall quality. It’s really probably 3.5 stars in my book.

very light, optimally warm, very pleasant to the touch.

I previously own a UL version of the hoody, bough this one deliberately to be warmer for winter use. Wear my Skygoats daily, really comfty and stretchy. Only minor thing to improve on Camp hoody would be the bottom edge beeing slighly loose, I'd prefer some some bungy stitched to bottom edge like the UL version hoody has.

My husband needed a new hoodie for winter and this was a Christmas gift. I found this hoodie after watching a few videos on YT from AT hikers. It is thin, lightweight, but warm. He can wear it under a heavier coat and not feel cramped or restricted. His complaint is that putting items in the pockets make the bottom of the hoodie heavy and flap around. Some sort of structure or interfacing would give more support, but I understand the need for this hoodie to be packable and lightweight for hikers. My husband is a 2XLT/3xl and I got the 3XLT for him based on measurements.

Great jacket. Warm and cosy. Perfect mid layer. SkyGoat offer a fast and efficient ordering service. Very helpful and easy to deal with. SkyGoat Sent me a replacement when I had a slight defect with my order. Very trustworthy company.
My only suggestion would be zipped pockets to keep stuff secure. Maybe a worthwhile upgrade. :)

Comfortable to wear and very warm. The material feels nice on skin, but definitely grabs dirt, dust,and leaves with ease. The way the side pockets are made causes things to fall out easily, so I wish there were pockets. Definitely limits the type of trips I would take it on. Also wish there was a little bit of stretch in the thumb hole as it feels like it will be torn after constant use.

I've only worn it a few times, but as soon as put it on, I knew that I made the right choice. It is light, very comfortable and warm. I've not hiked in it yet, but I'm expecting good things based on other reviews, and what I've experienced so far. I wanted the 1/2 zip, but it was sold out and I couldn't wait. The full zip is easy on/off plus I'll probably be able to regulate body heat better. Here's to hiking the AT this year.

Weighing only 11 ounces, the Men's Medium is comfortably warm with nice outside hand pockets. We especially appreciate the interior cargo pockets on both sides! I normally wear a Medium or Large on other brands, but the neck was too tight for me when zipped -- but my wife loves it, so we'll keep it. Kudos on making the neck area independent of the hoody, a very comfy design. I want to try a Large if you come out with a darker multi-color version where one arm is NOT white (since light shades can show dirt), and I don't want the solid green.

An unreal mid layer that moves well and is soft as… fits well and has great arm length fit.

I love it. It fits well and is just warm enough without overheating. The colors are unique too. Very comfortable wearing out or around the house.

I was interested in this item because it reminded me of the Arc'teryx Delta LT hoodie from a few years ago (before the questionable 2023+ redesigns). That's my favorite midlayer, so I am reviewing it against that as a kind of "bar."

Conceptually and design-wise, the CAMP hoodie is everything I want. Good pattern (fits well, looks good), has pockets, thumbholes, a hood that's not part of the neck, etc.

The material is very warm and feels nice to the touch. It doesn't snag easily.

The price point nowadays would be highly competitive for something that looks like this and has this level of functionality, if it were constructed with the same level of quality as what I'm comparing it to. However, it isn't. Hence the 4 star instead of 5 star rating.

From a garment stitching standpoint, it commits many sins. I found loose threads, threads that will catch and pull, serged seams that look to be low durability, rather asymmetric zipper stitching, etc. It basically looks like a lot of corners were cut when actually constructing the garment. Maybe that explains why it's $90 below the MSRP of the current Arc'teryx Delta Jacket, but at $129 I would still have hoped for better. (Compared to a 2021 Delta LT's hyper-dense flatlock stitching, it's not even close. Those are built like a tank.)

So I don't expect this to hold up the way my other "upmarket" midlayers have held up, but we'll certainly see as I'm putting it into the rotation.

Another well thought out product by SkyGOAT. Super soft, warm, and versatile layer. Fit is spot on. I really like how the neck and hood are designed. I'll be wearing this in many places!

I love this Jacket! So comfortable, soft, & lite.
I'm 6'4" tall and 235lbs and originally ordered the XXL tall. It was too large and this Skygoats crew quickly orchestrated the return and replacement. The extra large tall is perfect and I love it. Colors are great!

A design edit/suggestion:
The thumb holes are right on a seam and are slightly too short and I could see them cutting off finger circulation a little bit. At least on the extra extra large. The cutouts need to be a half inch or so longer.

I love the sky goat jackets. The Camp jacket for cold weather, and the lightweight for hiking and shoulder season. One of the most comfortable fleeces I have work. Please note these run big. I tend to be an XXL - as I am big in the shoulders and chest - but the XXL is quite large in the sky goat.

Great lightweight fleece jacket! This will probably be my new favorite. I wore it for about a week straight when I first got it. I finally HAD to wash it. I'll plan to use this for everyday use and also in chillier camping and backpacking trips.

I’m a tall gal, 6 ft and I ordered a men’s size large for the sleeve length. I also like the longer length through the torso. The weight of the fleece is so nice. Customer service was responsive and helpful!!

Best hooded fleece jacket I've every purchased! Got the XL and I tried it on and it was tight around the shoulders. Former college running back...so sent it back and the return and postage lable was sent to me as quickly and returning it was simple and efficient. Waiting anxiously for my XXL and hope that works better for me!!
